Look closer: (1) Blorok

Few days only after I decided to raise chicken again, my friend “A”, he’s my pal since we were kid, his place is beside mine, told me that our neighbor want to sell his hen because he needs money. What kind of hen? I ask him. The story continues…

In the middle of 2011 A want to buy our neighbor rooster’s, seems like he must have it. Then he told me that one of his friends told him the story about that rooster. Called “C” who told A the rooster’s history, 2 or 3 years ago that rooster were pitted and wins for many times and for much money. A & i went to the rooster owner’s place, we saw the rooster looks old, but I am sure as it able to mate it’s not a big problem. Finally A bought the rooster. Because the history & the story of that rooster is complicated we agree named him “KASUS”.  At C’s place Kasus were mated, its descendants were 1 male & 6 female, and Blorok is one of them.

 I’m planning to compile the majority gen of Kasus, so i mate blorok with her father, Kasus. The mating success, laying eggs success, then i imagine i will have at least 5 chickens from Blorok & Kasus, but who knows our future. Blorok laying 10 eggs and hatch only 1 chicken, yup, this is my fortune, only one inbreed chicken. I named him OLAN, meaning the one & only. Unfortunately few weeks after that A told me that Kasus is dead, it means i can’t make any inbreed chickens of Kasus anymore.

In the next period, I mated blorok with 3 roosters, she’s laying 11 eggs & hatch 7 chickens. As time goes by now they were left only 1 rooster (CIKER) & 3 hens (Babon ”D”,”E”, ”F”), and I make them as parental.
